About The Author
Johnny Rzeznik & Robby Takac are the founding members of the Goo Goo Dolls, who formed in Buffalo, New York, in the mid-1980s. Rzeznik, the band’s guitarist, lead vocalist, and primary songwriter, became known for heartfelt rock anthems like “Iris,” “Slide,” and “Name.” Takac, the band’s bassist and vocalist, brings a punk-rock edge and has written and sung many of the group’s fan favorites. Together, they helped turn the Goo Goo Dolls from a Buffalo punk band into one of the most enduring alternative rock acts of the ’90s and beyond.
