Tommy Lee is the hard-hitting drummer and founding member of legendary rock band Mötley Crüe. Born Thomas Lee Bass on October 3, 1962, in Athens, Greece, he helped define the sound and image of 1980s glam metal with his explosive drumming, wild stage antics, and larger-than-life personality. Beyond Mötley Crüe, Lee has explored solo projects, formed the rap-metal band Methods of Mayhem, and collaborated across rock, electronic, and hip-hop music.
