Stephen E. Ambrose's Band of Brothers (Sealed)
Product Details
This is the Easton Press Signed Edition of Band of Brothers, Stephen E. Ambrose's history of Easy Company, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. Easton Press issued this edition with Ambrose's signature on a limited-edition leaf inside the book.
Stephen E. Ambrose (1936–2002) was one of America's most widely read historians. He wrote D-Day, Citizen Soldiers and Undaunted Courage, and he founded the National WWII Museum in New Orleans. Band of Brothers (1992) follows Easy Company from parachute training at Camp Toccoa through D-Day, Operation Market Garden, the siege of Bastogne and the capture of Hitler's Eagle's Nest. It drew on extensive interviews with the veterans themselves, and in 2001 it was adapted into the Emmy-winning HBO miniseries.
The book is bound in black genuine leather. The front and back covers carry a matching gold-stamped border of interlaced knots, stars and chevrons, a design that echoes military insignia. The spine has raised hubs, gilt title and author lettering, a gold-boxed "SIGNED EDITION" panel and the Easton Press monogram at the foot. All three page edges are gilt.
This copy is factory sealed in the original publisher shrinkwrap and has never been opened.
It's a strong choice for WWII history collectors, fans of the HBO series, and anyone building a library of Easton Press signed editions.
