Original German Concert Poster: Michael Jackson (Dangerous World Tour 1992 Frankfurt Waldstadion)
This entry showcases an authentic, primary-source piece of pop music history, stadium tour lore, and global music ephemera: an original 1992 first-printing promotional venue poster advertising Michael Jackson live in concert at the Waldstadion in Frankfurt, Germany.
Revered as the undisputed "King of Pop," Michael Jackson (1958–2009) remains one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. Following the monumental success of Off the Wall (1979), Thriller (1982), and Bad (1987), Jackson released his hit eighth studio album, Dangerous, in November 1991. To support the album, Jackson embarked on the Dangerous World Tour (1992–1993), performing 69 concerts to over 3.5 million fans worldwide. Sponsored by Pepsi, the tour featured groundbreaking stage production, theatrical illusion effects, and Jackson's signature high-energy dance choreography.
Promoted by Mama Concerts & Lippmann + Rau, this striking original German concert poster advertises Jackson's open-air performance at Frankfurt Waldstadion on Friday, August 28, 1992 ("Freitag, 28. Aug. '92"). Presented in association with local media sponsors BRAVO, Bild Frankfurt, and hr3, the layout features the official sponsor credit ("presented by PEPSI") in the lower right corner above the regional ticket outlet information.
The visual design captures Jackson mid-performance in his iconic military-style embellished jacket and gold-buckled outfit beneath bold red title typography reading "MICHAEL JACKSON LIVE IN CONCERT".
Preserved in fine vintage condition on standard poster paper stock, featuring rich color saturation, sharp typography, clean margins, and minimal edge wear, this rare 1992 German promotional poster serves as an essential centerpiece for Michael Jackson archivists, pop culture historians, and 1990s concert memorabilia displays.
