Autographed Concert Poster Display: Hand-Signed by Little Richard (Shrine Auditorium "Giant Rock & Roll Show" – Framed Presentation)
This electrifying artifact celebrates the foundational roots of 20th-century music, mid-century rhythm and blues history, and pure rock-and-roll majesty: a classic concert poster for the Giant Rock & Roll Show at Los Angeles’ famed Shrine Auditorium, boldly hand-signed by the self-proclaimed "Architect of Rock and Roll" and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame charter inductee, Little Richard (Richard Penniman, 1932–2020).
Emerging from Macon, Georgia, to record his seismic mid-1950s hits for Specialty Records—including immortal blasts like "Tutti Frutti", "Long Tall Sally", "Rip It Up", and "Good Golly, Miss Molly"—Little Richard fundamentally ignited the rock-and-roll explosion. His frenetic boogie-woogie piano pounding, flamboyant showmanship, and vocal shrieks shattered racial and cultural barriers, inspiring everyone from Elvis Presley and The Beatles to Jimi Hendrix and Prince.
Printed in classic boxing-style typographic layout, the striking black-and-white broadside proclaims: "Specialty Records' Fabulous Star / LITTLE RICHARD And His Dynamite Rock 'N' Roll Band / Shrine Auditorium - May 11th" alongside a full-length photograph of Richard mid-strut in a sharp houndstooth suit. Little Richard boldly autographed the poster in dark ink across the central field:
"Little Richard"
The signature exhibits superb flow, crisp pen pressure, and excellent contrast against the stark white background. Housed in a custom black gallery moulding, the piece is preserved in fine collector condition, ready for immediate exhibition.
The poster bears an official serialized tamper-evident authentication hologram (
LR 108) affixed to the lower margin.A show-stopping, museum-grade centerpiece for early rock-and-roll archivists, mid-century poster collectors, and historic music memorabilia displays.
