Commissioned in the late 1970s to adapt Isaac Asimov's iconic short story collection I, Robot into a feature film, Ellison crafted a brilliant, sweeping screenplay that Asimov himself declared would be "the first really adult, complex, worthwhile science fiction movie ever made." Though never produced by Hollywood studios, Ellison's unproduced masterpiece stands as a holy grail of science fiction cinema lore, illustrated here in full color by artist Mark Zug.
Published in 1994 by The Easton Press (Norwalk, Connecticut), this deluxe edition is bound in full genuine black leather adorned with a striking gold and silver-stamped robotic figure design. The spine features raised hubs, gilded title lettering, and decorative robot head motifs.
