George H. W. Bush's Speaking of Freedom: The Collected Speeches (Sealed)
Product Details
This is the Easton Press Signed Edition of Speaking of Freedom: The Collected Speeches, by George H. W. Bush, the 41st President of the United States. Easton Press issued this edition with President Bush's signature on a limited-edition leaf inside the book.
George H. W. Bush (1924–2018) spent decades in public life. He was a decorated naval aviator in World War II, then served as a congressman, U.N. ambassador, CIA director, vice president and president. This collection, first published in 2009, gathers the speeches that defined his career. It covers the end of the Cold War, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the Gulf War, along with his well-known call for "a thousand points of light" in volunteer service.
The book is bound in black genuine leather. Both covers carry a gold-stamped ornamental border of scrollwork, stars and corner flourishes. At the center is a diamond-shaped medallion of scrolls surrounding a ring of stars, a patriotic design suited to a presidential collection. The spine has raised hubs and gilt lettering, with a gold-boxed "SIGNED EDITION" panel above the Easton Press monogram. All three page edges are gilt.
This copy is factory sealed in the original publisher shrinkwrap and has never been opened.
It's a strong addition for presidential autograph collectors, students of Cold War history and anyone building a library of Easton Press signed editions.
