Autographed Drumhead: Hand-Signed by D.J. Fontana (Elvis Presley's Drummer)
This entry showcases an authentic, primary-source piece of early rock and roll, Sun Studio heritage, and music history: an original white Remo Weatherking Vintage A Batter drumhead hand-signed by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame drummer D.J. Fontana.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009, Dominic Joseph "D.J." Fontana (1931–2018) was the foundational drummer for Elvis Presley for 14 years. As an essential member of Presley’s legendary backing group, The Blue Moon Boys—alongside guitarist Scotty Moore and bassist Bill Black—Fontana pioneered the rhythm of rockabilly and early rock and roll. His precise, big-band-influenced drumming powered over 460 classic RCA Victor tracks, defining immortal hits including "Heartbreak Hotel", "Hound Dog", "Jailhouse Rock", "Don't Be Cruel", and "Blue Suede Shoes", as well as Elvis's iconic 1968 "Comeback Special".
The white Remo Weatherking Vintage A Batter drumhead features a clean, minimalist design with the official Remo logo printed at the top center. Positioned prominently across the center of the drumhead, legendary drummer D.J. Fontana has rendered a sweeping signature in black felt-tip marker ("D.J. Fontana").
Preserved in fine collector condition with bright white surfaces, sharp manufacturer branding, and bold marker contrast, this autographed drumhead serves as an ultimate centerpiece for Elvis Presley archivists, rockabilly historians, and classic drum collectors.
