Signed First Edition Book: Hand-Signed by B. B. King (Blues All Around Me: The Autobiography of B. B. King — 1996 Avon Books)
This entry showcases an authentic, primary-source piece of American music history, electric blues guitar lore, and signed autobiography ephemera: an original first edition printing of Blues All Around Me: The Autobiography of B. B. King, hand-signed on the half-title page by the legendary "King of the Blues," B. B. King.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and widely regarded as one of the most influential guitarists of all time, Riley B. King (1925–2015) introduced a sophisticated style of soloing based on fluid string bending and shimmering vibrato that redefined electric blues and rock guitar. Co-authored with award-winning biographer David Ritz and published in November 1996 by Avon Books (New York), Blues All Around Me chronicles King's journey from Mississippi sharecropper to global blues icon.
Across the half-title page, B. B. King has rendered a magnificent, sweeping signature in blue felt-tip marker:
"B. B. King"
The volume retains its original illustrated hardcover dust jacket depicting King playing his famous Gibson guitar "Lucille".
Preserved in fine condition with a clean cloth binding, tight spine, and crisp internal pages, this autographed volume is accompanied by an official RR Auction Certificate of Authenticity (Auction Date: June 2020, Catalog 585, Item 730, Inventory #3409099).
This signed autobiography serves as an essential centerpiece for B. B. King completists, blues music archivists, and autographed rock & roll memorabilia displays.
