Don Dokken is the founder, lead vocalist, and primary songwriter of the legendary hard rock/heavy metal band Dokken. Formed in Los Angeles in the late 1970s, Dokken became one of the defining acts of the 1980s glam metal era with a melodic yet aggressive sound that combined soaring vocals, catchy hooks, and powerful guitar work. Don’s distinctive voice and songwriting helped drive the band’s success through multi-platinum albums including Tooth and Nail, Under Lock and Key, and Back for the Attack.
