Fully Autographed Promotional Flat: Hand-Signed by All Four Members of Alabama (Twentieth Century 1999)
This entry showcases an authentic, primary-source piece of country music history, Country Music Hall of Fame lore, and promotional vinyl display ephemera: an official 12" x 12" album promotional flat for Twentieth Century, fully hand-signed by all four original core members of the legendary band Alabama: lead vocalist Randy Owen, bassist Teddy Gentry, guitarist/fiddler Jeff Cook, and drummer Mark Herndon.
Formed in Fort Payne, Alabama, the band revolutionized country music by bringing rock-style group production and arena-scale live performances to the genre. Named the "Artist of the Decade" for the 1980s by the Academy of Country Music, Alabama scored a staggering 41 number-one Billboard country hits—including timeless classics such as Mountain Music, Dixieland Delight, and Song of the South. Inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005, the group has sold over 75 million records worldwide, cementing their legacy as the most successful band in country music history.
Released in 1999 by RCA Records, Twentieth Century stood as a major milestone album for the group at the close of the millennium. This original double-sided 12" x 12" cardboard promotional flat features the band portrait on the front and promotional text ("All New Music from ALABAMA") on the reverse.
Across the front image face, all four members have rendered bold, individual autographs in black felt-tip marker:
-
Randy Owen (signed across his white jacket, left)
-
Mark Herndon (signed vertically across his white shirt, center-left)
-
Teddy Gentry (signed in the upper right background area)
-
Jeff Cook (signed directly across his acoustic guitar, lower right)
Accompanied by an official authentication label issued by James Spence Authentication (JSA) (Certification Number: CF61339), affixed to the lower left corner of the reverse side.
Preserved in fine condition with sharp corners, vibrant color graphics, and four dark, fully legible signatures, this complete band-signed display flat serves as an essential centerpiece for country music archivists, RCA record collectors, and Alabama displays.
