Book Description:

As America marks the 40th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision this year, abortion has become the leading cause of death in our nation and worldwide, ending the lives of more than 42 million children each year and harming millions of women – and men.

In the midst of this global crisis, there is new hope.

Beginning with one hour of prayer in Texas in 2004, the groundbreaking 40 Days for Life movement of prayer and fasting, peaceful vigils, and community outreach has mobilized more than half a million volunteers in 481 cities around the world. 6,749 babies have been spared from abortion. 75 abortion workers have had a change of heart and quit their jobs. 25 abortion centers have closed. And every baby, every changed heart, every closure is an amazing story.

This book contains forty of those stories:

  • Hearts changed on the most controversial issue in our culture
  • Babies and mothers spared from abortion at the last possible second
  • Shocking secrets from inside the abortion industry – revealed
  • Abortion workers experiencing a change of heart and quitting their jobs
  • Thriving abortion facilities shutting down for good

Prepare for a 40-day journey like no other where you will discover how God can use you to change hearts and save lives.

  1. Inspiring

Posted by Katherine Woltering on Mar 13th 2014

This book is designed to read a chapter a day during the 40 Days For Life Campaign, which takes place twice each year. These chapters are only a few pages long :) It is very inspiring what people are doing to help those who are in most need of our live and compassion. The generosity, courage, kindness and boldness demonstrated in this book is sure to inspire even the most timid readers! You don't have to wait for another campaign to start. It's a great read anytime! This would make a great gift for anyone, especially those whose hearts are hardened to the idea of what it means to be Prolife. Another great book is Abby Johnson's "Unplanned." It is commonly thought that being Prolife means you are anti-woman, but this book clears that up real quick. It's not only about helping the baby, it's about helping the mother, father, and all whose lives are touched by abortion, especially women who've had an abortion who so desperately need hope and healing. Every person should read this book at least once. It will lift you up and help you to believe that God has a plan, we are all part of that plan and the best way for His plan to work is for each and everyone of us to say YES to His call. I've personally seen mothers and fathers change their minds at the very last minute simply because someone who cared was outside of their abortion clinic, there to offer them love and support. God is so good!

  2. Touching stories from across the country--and around the world--of the fight to prayerfully save unborn lives!

Posted by BobL on Jan 22nd 2013

40 stories of the many generated from the worldwide 40 Days for Life pro-life prayer campaigns.

David Bereit and Shawn Carney share just a few of the touching, inspiring stories that have come out of the many cities that have held 40 Days for Life prayer campaigns aimed at changing hearts and ending abortion in America and the world. From touching stories of mothers grateful that someone offered them hope instead of the hopelessness of abortion to inspiring stories of God's interventions (some would call coincidences) leading to babies saved, clinics closed, and abortion workers converted.

Starting from a desperate prayer session around an old wooden table, 40 Days for Life has spread to hundreds of cities in multiple countries, touching hundreds of thousands of lives while saving unknown thousands of babies from torturous deaths and mothers (and fathers) from heartbreak and regret.
